Katie M. Scott, MBA, PHR, PMP, Program Manager
Ms. Katie Scott has more than 12 years of professional experience across the areas of Recruiting, Administration, Human Resources, and Project Management. Ms. Scott has expertise in process improvement and organization. She uses these skills to manage and improve onboarding processes for IGS projects. This includes facilitating initial onboarding for Public Trusts, network access, required training, PIV badges, and required documentation throughout project lifecycles.
Ms. Scott is also responsible for managing two contracts and supervising a team of seven individuals for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Business Intelligence Services Line (BISL): Business Intelligence Support Services (BISS) and Extract Transform Load (ETL) Support Services. In addition to these duties, Ms. Scott maintains, updates, and submits monthly and quarterly deliverables to stakeholders.
Prior to her role at IGS, Ms. Scott consulted as a contractor analyst for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR) Program Management Office and for the VA’s T4 contract. She implemented and coordinated an onboarding process for background investigations and network access for 400+ contractors from over 60 companies. Ms. Scott has extensive knowledge of the VA’s onboarding process and has an excellent reputation for providing first-class customer service.
Ms. Scott holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Charleston Southern University and a Bachelor’s Degree from John Carroll University. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a certification in Professional Human Resources (PHR). Ms. Scott has received many accolades from previous employers including the SPAWAR Charleston Bravo Zulu Award, for outstanding effort in preparation for the Office of the Inspector General audit.
