IGS awarded Option 1 VINCI SAS
IGS was part of the award to Booz Allen Hamilton for the first option year on the Veterans Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI) System Administrator Services (SAS) contract.
VINCI, an initiative to improve researchers’ access to VA data and to help analysis of data, is the largest clinical data warehouse in the VA for research. Data within VINCI is protected, HIPAA compliant and ensures Veteran’s privacy and data security. VINCI has over 50 interfaces across the VA enterprise to pull from VISN Data Marts, to Regional Data Centers to Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) to VINCI. VINCI provides data informatics on over seven (7) million veterans to over 40,000 researchers within the Office of Research and Development organization called the Consortium for Health Informatics Research (CHIR) which includes VA stakeholders, academic medical universities, and other professional medical and research organizations. Systems administration support on the VINCI project includes but is not limited to: support of servers, SANS, and security for HyperV research environments.
IGS has been working in the VA VINCI environment since its inception and is provides continual value to our customer through reporting and maintenance for the environment on a daily and weekly basis. Due to working on both the SA and DEV contracts for VINCI, IGS has the unique understanding and knowledge of the entire VINCI system. On the SA contract, IGS provides customer services support to researchers and through this is able to provide an integrated solution for all development activities on the DEV project.
