Veterans Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI) Sustainment, Data Management, and Systems Administration Task Order Awarded under Halfaker Associates
IGS has been supporting VINCI for more than six years and will continue to provide support for the next three years with this task order. IGS and Halfaker will maintain and create VINCI research data sets, implement and maintain operations and research project folders, databases and analysis software, and implement and maintain virtual machine environments.
Initiate Government Solutions supports VA Financial Services Center (FSC) Healthcare Claims Adjudication

IGS continues supporting and sustaining the Veterans Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI) as part of the FirstView Federal TS team. VINCI is the largest clinical data warehouse in the federal government – its continued function is critical to providing and improving care for our nation’s veterans.
IGS was part of the award to Booz Allen Hamilton for the Veterans Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI) System Administrator Services (SAS) task order. IGS supports the largest clinical data warehouse in the Government for researchers. VINCI provides data informatics on over seven (7) million veterans to over 40,000 researchers that include VA stakeholders, other Government agencies, academic medical universities, and other professional medical research organizations. We are enthusiastic about our ongoing efforts to provide excellent system administration support to researchers across the VA.

IGS provides development, maintenance, and support services for clinical, administrative, and infrastructure applications used to care for patients through the use of the IHS RPMS. This includes quality assurance, training, deployment, and application user support services to meet the needs of IHS through effective quality assurance/quality control over software development activities and use of computer-assisted software engineering tools and practices.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Product and Platform Management (PPM)
IGS provides standards definition, systems engineering, evaluation, and test planning for all VA Health Information Exchange (HIE) Interoperability infrastructure products to meet all interoperability requirements. PPM support also included integrated business consulting services to transform processes from a disparate system of independently operating units to a unified environment of integrated, interoperable processes.

IGS provides PMO support for the entire VINCI program, including the DEV and SA contracts. Using PMAS documentation, IGS provides acquisition packages and white papers on an ad hoc basis for the customer. IGS develops acquisition packages for hardware and software for use in the VINCI environment. IGS provides enterprise architecture feedback, security and data use policy reviews, data terminology and interface requirements for APIs as part of the documentation for the VINCI environment. Provide strategic planning as part of the acquisition process, help prioritize procurement packages, and work with the customer to determine future needs (hardware & software) of the project to achieve goals of innovation and provide clinical data support to researchers.

IGS provided program management for the ETL support contract which included management of the Data Marts, VISN Data Marts, Regional Data Warehouses, and the Corporate Data Warehouse. IGS team supported the ETL team. ETL is a critical component to the overall business intelligence function and supports all tiers of activity including Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN), Region, and National.

IGS supported the identification of data integration processes related to patient privacy and identity management, the techniques and standards available or required to support the development of a joint Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)–Department of Defense (DoD) Electronic Health Record (EHR). IGS provided strategies and options for use of agile software practices to improve the delivery of IT initiatives and promote innovation within the Military Health System (MHS) and provided project management oversight.

These included: surgical pathology and cytology reports, mobile consults management application, mobile surgical pathology, and cytology application, among others.
